About Ms. LaHairI’m thrilled to start a new school year at Patterson Park Public Charter School! I love being at school where the students, staff, families, and community are passionate about providing opportunities for kids and strengthening the neighborhood. Teaching Language Arts allows me to explore timeless themes and consider the human experience through a new lens with each text. Each day poses new challenges and adventures; I’m excited for each one!
After six years teaching high school English, I was ready for a change. The 2015-2016 school year was my first at PPPCS and I quickly learned what a special school community had joined. My high school background helps guide my instruction; I always keep in mind where my students are heading next! I grew up in Massachusetts and attended Skidmore College in upstate New York. I studied Government, English, and theater and loved every moment! Although I still miss New England’s fall foliage and apple orchards, I moved to Baltimore after college to begin teaching. I earned my Master’s Degree at Johns Hopkins University and became an O’s supporting, Old Bay loving Baltimorean! |
